Purple Patch Porteur
Bristol is full of incredible makers and small creative businesses. Purple Patch Workshop are one of those. Josh from Purple Patch was looking for a porteur for carrying his stuff around town, but plenty of clearances for tyres a bit more ‘grrrrr’ than the 650b x 42/48’s the bike will sport in town.
Using a mix of Columbus Zona and Reynolds 853, through axles front and rear, and a custom porteur rack with removable low riders, this bike is pretty bomber. I hand cut the front post mount, filled in the fork crown lug windows for a cleaner look, and included internal dynamo wire routing in the frame.
Made shortly before I launched the Carrier, this bike represents my coalescing thoughts on bicycles built for business and pleasure, town and country.
