The Basketpacker
A bike for the back lanes, for fishing trips, for quiet Gloucestershire travel. Geoff wanted to prioritise comfort, practicality and elegance for his new bike, designing it for day rides, tours and fishing excursions.
With custom racks front and rear, those loooong Berthoud mudguards and a bolt on basket for a Wizard Works Alakazam, Geoff can carry everything he needs. The riding position is upright and comfy for siting up and smelling the roses.
We used a bunch of amazing high quality, reliable UK made parts from Hope, Middleburn and Brooks. We wanted a bike in the lineage of those old English roadsters, with relaxed geometry and classic single oversize tube diameters, but updated with through axles and disk brakes. I turned a little aluminium stub to mount Geoff’s prefered battery powered front light. This is a classy, useful bike that sits just right for Geoff, and aligns perfectly with what a Clandestine bike means to me.
